We connect people to causes. Whether you want to spend time bettering your community
By organizing programs, creating initiatives and building communities, we aspire for a better tomorrow.
Our approach to creating a wave of change in the lives of children is through the successful implementation.
This summer of 2017, our ProSTEM Fellows have gotten together to bring change to their communities. The diverseness of the team contributes to different and creative ideas to produce a more efficient and pleasing end product.
Each member of the team comes from different backgrounds and different areas around the world. While some of the members are still in high school, there are others that have are in college or beyond. The majority of the Fellows are from all around the Dallas metroplex area. However, there are many others who work virtually around the country and the world. They represent private schools, public schools, and even advanced math pre-college programs.
ProSTEM is a non-profit organization that aims to make a difference in the world through the power of STEM. By organizing programs, creating initiatives and building communities, we aspire to create a future where, through collaboration, teamwork and exchanges of ideas, we can have a better tomorrow.
If you have ever wanted to make a difference in the world around you, ProSTEM is the place for you.
We believe that within each one of us there is a capacity to do great things. By providing you with four ways to get involved, we want to give you the resources to make sure that you can make a difference in a way that speaks to you.
The Open Society Scholarship Programs support individuals passionate about improving their knowledge and their ability to advance positive social change in their home countries. University-based education will empower these individuals to explore and develop intelligent and humane ideas generated by free and open inquiry, critical analysis, and a nuanced understanding of the complex challenges facing open societies.
Using transparent, open and merit-based competitions, we offer awards for advanced study in the social sciences and humanities. Awards include enhancements such as preparatory summer programs, regional conferences, and internship opportunities, all designed to strengthen the networks and communities of the open society leaders we seek to build. The Scholarship Programs collaborate with universities, private donors, and government agencies around the world, as well as with other Open Society programs and affiliated organizations.
If you are a student with the next big idea to bring about change in your community or a member of a STEM professional field who wants to give back by mentoring or starting a STEM initiative, ProSTEM is the place for you!
